About Mulvany Consulting

Mulvany Consulting is an independent advisory business working across GB gas and power markets, regulation, policy, data, market design and infrastructure.

The business is led by Kate Mulvany, who brings more than 20 years’ experience spanning retail, networks, metering, policy, governance and system wide reform.

Kate combines operational, board and advisory experience with a broad view of the energy system. Her work connects technical, regulatory, commercial and customer considerations that are often otherwise examined separately, helping organisations reach clearer decisions about complex issues.

Alongside client and board work, Kate is a recognised energy commentator and public speaker. Her analysis has featured across BBC television and radio, the Financial Times, Bloomberg and industry media, and she has spoken at major industry and policy events.

She has also contributed to government and public sector work, including research for electricity market reform and renewable investment behaviour, as well as briefings and engagement with parliamentarians, regulators and senior industry stakeholders.
